The coordinator is assigned by the Rector from among the University faculty members for a two-year term. The coordinator whose term has expired can be assigned in the same manner. The Rector assigns a Deputy Coordinator upon the recommendation of the Coordinator. In the absence of the Coordinator, the Deputy Coordinator acts as his/her proxy. The term of office of the Deputy Coordinator is limited to the duty of the Coordinator.
Duties of the Coordinator: To preside over the Vocational Schools Directors Board, Program and Branch Boards, To manage CVS according to the principles of this directive, To propose the decisions of the Vocational Schools Directors Board to the Rectorate, To report to the Rector every three months regarding the activities of (CVS).
2. Vocational Schools Directors Board:
The Vocational Schools Directors Board consists of Vocational Schools Directors under the chairmanship of the Coordinator. The Vocational Schools Directors Board meets at least once a month upon the invitation of the CVS Coordinator. Board meetings are held with the participation of more than half of the members and decisions are taken by the absolute majority of the participants.
Duties of the Board of Directors of Vocational Schools: To determine the needs of the sectors regarding intermediate level professional staff; to make arrangements to increase the productivity and resource generation potential of Vocational Schools in line with this purpose by ensuring that emphasis is given to practices in their education and training plans. In this context; to carry out and support the necessary planning and implementation studies to meet the needs of personnel, library, laboratory, tools and equipment, to determine the criteria determining the general qualifications of the teaching staff to be assigned to Vocational Schools and to submit them to the approval of the Senate, to support the organization of in-service certified training programs for Vocational School graduates.
