Coordinatorship of Vocational Schools (CVS) Purposes:
Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Coordinatorship of Vocational Schools (CVS); was established in 2002 with the aim of ensuring coordination and organization of education between the Vocational Schools within the University, making the necessary planning and implementations to eliminate problems in order to increase productivity, working to solve qualified workforce problems, and increasing cooperation between the business world and the Vocational Schools.

Coordinatorship of Vocational Schools (CVS) carries out work in the following areas:
  1. To determine the needs of the sectors regarding intermediate level professional staff; to make arrangements to increase the resource creation potential and productivity of Vocational Schools in line with this purpose by ensuring that emphasis is given to applications in their education and training plans. In this context; to carry out and support the necessary planning and implementation studies to meet the needs of personnel, library, laboratory, tools and equipment,
  2. To determine the criteria determining the general qualifications of the teaching staff to be assigned to Vocational Schools and submit them to the Senate for approval,
  3. To support the organization of in-service certified training programs for graduates of Vocational Schools.
Coordinatorship of Vocational Schools Bodies:

1. Coordinator:

The coordinator is assigned by the Rector from among the University faculty members for a two-year term. The coordinator whose term has expired can be assigned in the same manner. The Rector assigns a Deputy Coordinator upon the recommendation of the Coordinator. In the absence of the Coordinator, the Deputy Coordinator acts as his/her proxy. The term of office of the Deputy Coordinator is limited to the duty of the Coordinator. 

Duties of the Coordinator: To preside over the Vocational Schools Directors Board, Program and Branch Boards, To manage CVS according to the principles of this directive, To propose the decisions of the Vocational Schools Directors Board to the Rectorate, To report to the Rector every three months regarding the activities of (CVS).

2. Vocational Schools Directors Board:

The Vocational Schools Directors Board consists of Vocational Schools Directors under the chairmanship of the Coordinator. The Vocational Schools Directors Board meets at least once a month upon the invitation of the CVS Coordinator. Board meetings are held with the participation of more than half of the members and decisions are taken by the absolute majority of the participants.

Duties of the Board of Directors of Vocational Schools: To determine the needs of the sectors regarding intermediate level professional staff; to make arrangements to increase the productivity and resource generation potential of Vocational Schools in line with this purpose by ensuring that emphasis is given to practices in their education and training plans. In this context; to carry out and support the necessary planning and implementation studies to meet the needs of personnel, library, laboratory, tools and equipment, to determine the criteria determining the general qualifications of the teaching staff to be assigned to Vocational Schools and to submit them to the approval of the Senate, to support the organization of in-service certified training programs for Vocational School graduates.

3. Advisory Boards:
Advisory Boards; It is composed of public and private sector representatives determined by the Board of Managers.

Duties of the Advisory Boards: To help expand cooperation and industry-based education between public and private sector institutions, organizations and professional chambers and Vocational Schools in the fields where Vocational Schools operate.

4. Program Boards:
Program Committees consist of faculty members working in similar programs of Vocational Schools under the chairmanship of the Coordinator.

The Duty of Program Boards: To program the education, training, application and research activities of the teaching staff in similar programs of Vocational Schools, to prepare education plans to make the most effective use of tools, equipment and physical facilities and to submit them to the Board of Directors.

5. Science Branch Boards:
The members of the Department Board consist of faculty members who teach similar courses in different vocational school programs of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University. The Coordinator is the head of the Department Board.

Duties of the Scientific Branch Board: To make recommendations regarding the harmonization of the contents of courses in different programs and the application and research activities related to these courses.
